Cookie Policy

Last updated April 23, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Barbican SAS (doing business as Netsec) (“we,” “us,” and “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at netsec.it (the “Website”). It sets out what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Barbican SAS) are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third-party cookies.” Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (for example, analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the website in question and when it visits certain other websites.

Why do we use cookies?

Today, this Website only uses strictly necessary cookies — specifically, a first-party cookie set by our consent manager to remember your cookie choice. We do not currently run analytics, marketing, or advertising scripts. If we add any in the future, they will be gated behind the Cookie Consent Manager described below and this Cookie Policy will be updated before they go live.

Cookie categories

Following the French CNIL's guidelines and the ePrivacy Directive, we classify cookies and similar technologies into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the Website to function and to remember your cookie preferences. These do not require your consent.
  • Preferences. Remember non-essential choices you make, such as your light/dark theme.
  • Statistics. Anonymous measurement of how visitors use the Website. Not currently in use.
  • Marketing. Used to track visitors across websites in order to display advertising. Not currently in use.

Cookies and local storage currently in use

The table below lists every cookie and similar storage mechanism we set on this Website today. We keep this list in sync with what is actually deployed; if you find a discrepancy, please email us at the address at the bottom of this page.

NameProviderPurposeCategoryDuration
CookieConsentCookiebot (first-party)Stores your cookie consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit.Strictly necessary12 months
themeNetsec (first-party, localStorage)Remembers your light/dark theme choice so the site does not flash on page load. Never transmitted to our servers or any third party.Strictly necessary (functional)Until you clear site data

Our consent manager is provided by Cookiebot, operated by Usercentrics A/S. The Cookiebot script loads from consent.cookiebot.com and persists your choice through the CookieConsent cookie described above.

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies, subject to the strictly necessary category which the site requires to function. To change or withdraw your choice, delete the CookieConsentcookie in your browser settings and reload the page — the consent banner will reappear and you can pick again.

If you choose to reject non-essential cookies, you may still use the Website, though some future functionality may be limited.

How can I control cookies on my browser?

You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser. The steps vary, so you should check your browser's help menu. The major browsers provide the following guides:

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

We do not currently use web beacons, tracking pixels, clear gifs, session replay, or similar technologies on this Website. If we add any in the future — for example, to measure the effectiveness of email campaigns — we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by law, seek your consent before loading them.

Do you serve targeted advertising?

No. We do not serve targeted advertising on this Website and do not embed third-party advertising trackers.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.

The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
